Comforting carbs.

When you are feeling gloomy there can be nothing more comforting than a lot of carbs and a bit of cream and spice to give the spirits a lift.
My lunch companion was short on time as he had to fly an aeroplane early afternoon. We choose a local pub that has outdoor seating and that welcome well behaved cute dogs; and we have one of those who goes by the name of Basil.
We sat down and ordered up a big bass of ice cold shandy and a bottle of water, followed by a huge juicy bacon burger.

I ordered my favourite cuisine, Indian food. I had butter chicken, rice and we shared a big plate of spicy popodums covered in chopped onions and fresh coriander. Delicious.

I went home with Basil for a lazy afternoon while my lunch mate went to the airport.

A lovely way to spend a few hours on a Sunday
