I have the most wonderful group of lady friends one could ever wish to have. They are clever, stylish, artistic, and most of all great cooks.
Our hostess, is American but one could be forgiven for thinking her an English lady. I think she secretly would love to own an old Victorian tearoom, serving large pots of tea and huge creamy, jammy Victorian sponge cake. Here she is in her glory.
The cake and sandwich displays were magnificent, very tempting and all so delicious.
It was a joint effort by many and the event was to celebrate a wonderful friends milestone birthday.
Here she is being all dotty in her Tea party dress beside a hatted friend who looks like she could be on her way to the Henley regatta.
Here is one tired out friend, hiding under the laden table…….sooooo cute!
A wonderful afternoon that flowed into the evening with champagne and lots of chatter.

Great photographs and commentary of a memorable afternoon .
What a beautiful table of goodies. I especially like the rose place card holders. I assume they described the dish they were sitting by.
Yes they did, they are so pretty and add style to the table.
